Winnie Wright May 16, 2014 Valdosta, GA – The Miracle League demonstrates the importance of physical activity for everyone, including those with special needs… And beginning this spring, it will make it’s mark in Valdosta. The inaugural season kicks off this weekend, where lots of smiling faces will be playing softball, some for the very first time. The league’s founder says he was inspired by a friend who became handicapped as a child. “We’re excited, you know, just to be able to put this on. It’s like they have a feeling of meaning; we get to do something that everybody else gets to do now. This is our field. Not everybody else’s field”, says Andy Gibbs, Miracle League of Valdosta Director and Founder. The Miracle League’s kickoff celebration will be held at Freedom Park in Valdosta , this Sunday at 2:00 pm. To learn more about the Miracle League and how to get involved, visit www.Vlpra.Com.
